Olivia’s opponent hit a shot that landed on her own side of the net before bouncing over the net to Olivia’s side. Her opponent didn’t see it bounce on her own side of the net, so when Olivia stopped play to tell her what had happened, the opponent claimed that even if it had bounced on her own side of the net, it was the opponent’s call to make.

Who was right?

It was Olivia’s call to make since she could see the shot.

It was Olivia’s opponent’s call to make since players are supposed to concede points, and opponents aren’t entitled to make those calls.

Because of the confusion, the point should be replayed.
